Scott
Scott was born and raised in California, but after 20 years as a pilot in the US Navy, he settled in Florida. After owning a couple of other businesses, he saw the opportunity to buy Hester's in November 2000, and converted it to Hester's Abbey Floorcoverings in January 2001. Over the past years he has learned a lot about floor coverings, and has brought some good organizational and management skills to Hester's. In 2006 he built a new 2600 sq ft warehouse behind Hester's, which enabled him to expand the showroom to 4900 sq ft. Scott has also been instrumental in reaching out to the community through various projects and direct giving. He established the Hester's High School scholarship program in 2006 which has given over $100,000 in scholarships to our college-bound seniors.
Deb
Deb is new to HESTERS, after having been away from flooring for many years she decided to join our team in October 2025. She has been in one form of customer service or another for over 50 years and believes that customer service is the key to a good sales team. She looks forward to helping you choose the perfect floors for your home.

OUR INSTALLERS


Our installers are all independent contractors - not employees. But, for the majority of the time, we are able to keep them busy doing our work, and have been for the past 30+ years. All our installers are trained, licensed through St. Johns County, carry liability insurance, and have years of experience. They are professionals who know what they're doing. Their work is guaranteed, by them and by us. You will be most highly satisfied and appreciative of their skills.

Hester's Abbey Floorcoverings is proud to announce that Tom Partin and Dennis Kozlowski recently returned from Karastan carpet installation training in Tampa, Florida. 

The training, which was open to all floor covering installers in Florida, was conducted by Karastan's master trainer, Mr. Jim Walker. The two-day training required Tom and Dennis to commit considerable time and money toward their professional education. 

While each of them has significant past experience, with a combined 40 years between them, they are now Karastan certified. That distinction, from the top carpet producer in America, separates them from others since they were the only carpet installers from NE Florida to attend. 

Obviously, we at Hester's Abbey Floorcoverings are very proud of their commitment to quality.
